ION has solved the problem of limited ventilation in full-contact carrying systems on protection backpacks: ION’s Transom features an Air_Condition system and allows cooling ventilation at the back by shifting the backpack away from the hips when going uphill. On the descent, just release the system and pull the backpack tight. This ensures a close fit to the back when you want the proximity to your back for maximum protection: ION offers an optional SAS-TEC protection plate that fits into the Spine Plate Interface and meets the requirements of EN certificate 1621-2, Level 1. The backpack’s V-String_Carrying_System holds the pack in place, even when the rider turns upside down.

Durch sein flexibles Tragesystem eignet sich der Transom perfekt fürs Mountainbiken. Bergauf bringt er eine sehr gute Ventilation, da er viel Platz zwischen Rücken und Rucksack lässt. Bergab lässt er sich so umstellen, dass er eng anliegt und nicht stört.
