Schwinn Vestige

The Schwinn Vestige bicycle is an Urban specialty bike made of natural Flax fibers which are grown ecologically and are 100% bio degradable. The resin used in the frame is also non toxic, bio degradable and even the paint is new, patented, water based solution never used in the bicycle industry before. Flax fibers have almost the same material properties as carbon, but the footprint is drastically different. To highlight the uniqueness of this bike, selected components have been copper treated that will patina over time giving each bike a unique, individual look. The saddle is a custom carved design by the artist Kara Ginther.

Jury Statement

Aus ökologischer Sicht ist das Schwinn Vestige hochinteressant. Der aus Flachs hergestellte Rahmen macht einen sehr hohen Recyclinganteil möglich. Ein neues Material in der Szene!
